Artist Statement
Judith Gahn Murphy grew up knowing she wanted to be an artist. Quite frankly, it was the only way she could express herself. Seeing has always been a challenge for her. She tells how when she put her new eyeglasses on at the early age of six she was astounded at what she had been missing. Sight is something an artist does not take lightly or is it just one dimensional. ( joke intended ) “Painting how I see things allows me to express myself, unlike any other way I know.” Watercolor painting is a medium that allows her creative expressions to flow.
